THE WORLD'S FIRST* TYPING CALCULATOR THAT MEASURES IN MPH
Words per minute? Sure. But how fast did the actual words travel across your screen? Our arcade speedometer measures the motion of the scrolling text and translates it into miles per hour. Calibrate your display for a physical measurement; otherwise, your MPH is clearly marked as estimated.
*As far as we know. This is a playful claim, not a certified world record.
WHAT THE HELL IS TYPE THIS SHIT!?
Type This Shit! is a free typing game that starts with an ordinary story and promptly loses its damn mind. Pick a one-, two-, or five-minute challenge and try to keep up as the words slide across the screen and the plot falls apart. You might begin with a routine home inspection and end up negotiating with a refrigerator that has retained legal counsel.
Type for speed, try not to butcher the spelling, and discover how slowly your text actually travels across your monitor. When the clock runs out, get your scores, suffer a deeply unnecessary roast, read the story you just typed, and challenge a friend to type the exact same nonsense. No account required. No mercy offered.
HOW YOUR QUESTIONABLE ACHIEVEMENT IS MEASURED
WPM
WPM means words per minute. This game uses the usual five-character word standard and adjusts your score for typing accuracy.
ACCURACY
Accuracy tracks how often you typed the correct characters. Correcting a mistake does not erase the fact that you made it.
MPH
MPH measures how fast the story actually scrolls across your display. It is an estimate until you calibrate your screen; yes, the final number can be embarrassingly small.
